Deborah Ann Bohms, age 52, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2008 at her home. She was born April 21, 1956 in Beloit, WI to Larry and Vivian Hendrickson. She married Edward Bohms on June 3, 1978 in Rockton, IL. Deborah worked for the City of Janesville Assessor Office.ï¿½ï¿½
Deborah is survived by her husband, Edward, of Janesville; son, Matthew Bohms, of Janesville; mother, Vivian Hendrickson, of Beloit; two sisters, Diane (Dale) Amundson, of Beloit, Lori (Dave) Widner, of Janesville; a brother, Dan (Sandy) Hendrickson, of Rockton; brother-in-law, Tim Bohms, of Ocean City, MD; three sister-in-laws, Bonnie Thostenson, of Beloit, Linda (Lee) Phelps, of Beloit, Cindy (Al) Siedel, of Richland Center; aunt and uncle Judy and Ron Johnson, of Beloit; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.ï¿½
She is preceded by her father.ï¿½
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 7, 2008 at the ALL FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL, 1618 E. Racine Street. Friends may call at 11:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mae Alvina Olson
Mae Alvina Olson died on August 5, 2008 at her home in rural Beloit. She was born on May 17, 1921, the daughter of Perry and Alma (Sveom) Snorud at their home in Plymouth Township, Rock County, Wisconsin. She married Donald James Olson on October 12, 1940 at Luther Valley Lutheran Church, rural Beloit, Wisconsin. They would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary this October. Mae attended Orfordville High School and graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. She taught music in the rural schools of Rock County, and when they consolidated, she saw how the school system advanced. Mae finished her music teaching career at the Parkview School District in Orfordville, Wisconsin, in May of 1981. She was church organist for over 70 years. The churches she shared her gift of music with were Luther Valley Lutheran Church, rural Beloit, Christ Our Savior Lutheran Church in Roscoe, Illinois, Trinity Free Lutheran Church in Janesville, and Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Brodhead.Her family meant a great deal to Mae.
She is survived by her husband, Donald; sons Kenneth (Barbara) Olson and Daniel Olson; grandchildren Mark (Bridget) Olson, Brian Parmer (Trasie Fair), Dawn (Rodney) Huff, Daniel (Jenifer) Olson II, Jennifer (Bradley) Heisz; great-grandchildren Aric & Alexys Olson, Cody Parmer and Hannah & Evan Fair, Baylee, Kennedy & Dayton Olson, Hayden & Paige Heisz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant grandson Brian Olson, and daughter-in-law Vickie Olson.
Visitation will be held at Newcomer-Silverthorn Chapel on the Hill, Hwy 11 and South Coon Island Road, Orfordville,from 5 p.m to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 7th. Mae's funeral will be held at Luther Valley Lutheran Church at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 8, 2008, with Pastor Mary Froiland officiating. Burial will be in Luther Valley Cemetery. ï¿½ï¿½

Helen M. Turner
Helen M. Turner, age 64, of South Beloit, Ill., passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008. She was born December 21, 1943 to Gregor and Esther (Radue) Wolfe. Helen loved decorating cakes, cooking, and reading. She was a gracious daughter and loving mother.
Helen is survived by her mother; four children, Katherine Spaw, of Rockton, IL; Andrew Lang, of Beloit; Richard (Jodi) Lang, of Janesville; Robert (Michelle) Lang, of Loves Park, IL; two sisters, Janette (Glen) Engebretson, of Rothschild; Beverly Sweet, of Rockford, IL; eight grandchildren, Kati, Matthew, Alexandria, Jozlyn, Austin, Adam, Nathan, Haley.
She is preceded by her father and sister, Betty Schattl.
She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her.ï¿½
