MONROE, Wis. - Get in the holiday spirit and join the fun on Friday, Dec. 9, at 7:30 p.m. at the Monroe Arts Center (MAC) as they present a free concert experience for the entire community. Under the direction of conductor Michael Ross, the Madison Youth Choirs Cantabile and Ragazzi choir groups will perform a varied selection of holiday music.

The Madison Youth Choirs have an international reputation and perform annually with the Madison Symphony Orchestra. The Madison Youth Choirs Cantabile and Ragazzi Choirs are comprised of over seventy-five members and include Monroe youths Colin and Natalie Callahan, and Avery Erb.

The choirs will then accompany actor, Richard Hilger, in his reading of Paul Gallico's beloved short story, "The Snow Goose." Last year, Hilger adapted and directed a radio production of "A Christmas Carol" for the MAC. Hilger has impressive theater credentials including being a long-time principal at The Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis.

The first 50 persons in attendance at the Holiday Concert will receive a Monroe Arts Center Commemorative (5th Edition) Holiday Ornament free. The concert will conclude MAC's 2011 Holiday Silent Auction. Final bidding will be accepted up until 7:15 p.m. the evening of the concert.
