DePERE, Wis.—Beloit College’s men’s basketball team mounted a second-half comeback, but came up just short in a 66-62 loss to Northland College Thursday night.

The teams met in the consolation game of the Nicolet National Bank Holiday Tournament at St. Norbert College.

The Buccaneers (2-11) fell behind 38-28 at halftime and outscored Northland in the second half, but not enough to avoid their seventh straight loss..

Michael Myles paced Beloit with 16 points. Brain Rusch added 12.

Northland (3-9) was led by Simon Palmer’s 17 points. Drew Lindberg had 15 and Tyler Tuura chipped in 11.

• NOTES: Beloit women’s basketball team was supposed to be in action at home Thursday afternoon, but canceled due to COVID-19 protocols. The Bucs women will be back in action at Illinois College on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. following the men’s game at 5:30.
