WISCONSIN DELLS, Wis. - The Rock County Fury dominated play against the Badger Lightning Thursday night, rolling to an 8-0 Badger Conferencec victory as goaltender Brooke Teubert posted her first shutout of the season.
Sara Loerke opened the game by scoring with a rocket from the blue line, assisted by Alyssa Knauf. Knauf then skated the puck from the defensive zone for the second goal.
With 8 minutes elapsed in the second period, Knauffound the back of the net with Anika Einbeck and Alyssa's sister, Haley, earning assists. At 6:37, Claudia Boehlke scored a power-play goal, assisted by Loerke, for a 4-0 lead.
Haley Knauf added two more goals within 1:17 of each other with assists credited to Sam Wells, Einbeck and Loerke.
At the top of the third period, Loerke earned her second goal of the game, assisted by Haley Knauf. The Fury's eighth and final goal was by Anika Einbeck, assisted by Alyssa Knauf.
Brodhead's Teubert stopped all 13 shots on goal. The Fury put up 53 shots on Badger Lightning's goalie and improved their record to 5-1.
