ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. - Crown College hadn't won a football game since 2016, but certainly winning combination in running backs Avory Caruthers and Ameer Lee Saturday afternoon against Beloit College.

The duo combined for over 300 yards rushing as Crown dumped Beloit College, 23-6, to snap a 24-game losing streak. The Storm's defense held the Bucs to just 122 yards in total offense and intercepted freshman quarterback Alex Alvarez four times.

On of those picks, by senior Sebastian Alvarado, was returned 46 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter as Crown wiped out a 6-3 Beloit lead.

The Storm tacked on a pair of touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

Crown opened the scoring with a 23-yard field goal in the first quarter and led 3-0 at the intermission.

Beloit was able to take the lead in the third quarter, benefitting from a personal foul penalty on Crown that moved the Bucs to the Storm's 24-yard line. Facing a fourth-and-two, Beloit went for it and Hansen powered his way into the end zone to make it 6-3 Beloit with 8:48 to go in the third. The point-after was off the mark.

The Bucs' defense forced a punt on Crown's next possession, but on a third down play for the Bucs, Alvarado picked off an Alvarez pass and returned it for a touchdown.
