Winless Knights fall at Middleton

MIDDLETON, Wis. -The Beloit Memorial boys basketball team fell to 0-6 overall and 0-5 in Big Eight Conference play when they lost 60-44 to Middleton Thursday night.

Middleton senior forward Jake Klubertanz scored 12 of his 20 points in the second half to help the Cardinals to the win.

Terrell Ringer led the Purple Knights with 17 points, while Jaden Bell added 13.

The Knights will play at Madison West Saturday night.

• JEFFERSON 59, BIG FOOT 58: The Chiefs came up just short in their defeat to Jefferson Tuesday night, as Logan Eischeid's half-court shot at the buzzer went off the back of the rim.

Eischeid had brought the Chiefs within a point with a trey with 15 seconds left, but the Eagles hung on.

Eischeid led the Chiefs with 14 points, who led 35-28 at halftime. Ryan Brost led Jefferson with 16 points.

* EAST TROY 93, CLINTON 29: The host Trojans raced to a 59-15 halftime lead and cruised to the win over the Cougars. AJ Vuckoivch scored 21 of his 23 points in the decisive first half, while Michael Polakoski scored 15 of his 22 to help East Troy to the huge lead.

Clinton, again playing without leading scorer Tyler Stauss, was led by RIley Anastasi's 10 points.
