Hansen helps 1-0 Warhawks

WHITEWATER, Wis. - Justin Hansen, a UW-Whitewater junior defensive lineman and Turner graduate, was among the Warhawks earning Player of the Week consideration.

Hansen contributed a key play on a drive in the second quarter last Saturday that helped 12th-ranked UW-W to a 38-6 victory at Dubuque (Iowa).

On a third-and-two from the Spartan 33-yard line, Hansen blew up a running play in the backfield for a loss of three yards to help force a punt as Dubuque was driving to tie the game. That play, and his overall performance, helped the Warhawks allow only 186 yards of total offense, including 86 on the ground.

The Warhawks (1-0) host Concordia-Moorhead (Minn.) at 1 p.m. Saturday.
