Turner's girls charge to third straight win

BELOIT - The Beloit Turner girls basketball team made it three straight victories when they took down visiting Harvard 60-25 Monday night.

The Trojans cruised to a 35-11 edge at halftime. Turner was led in scoring by Mara Fowler, who finished with three 3-pointers en route to 13 points. Carson Nitz added 11 while Elise Metzger had nine and Olivia Tinder had eight.

Turner (4-1) will play at Big Foot Thursday night.

• BIG FOOT 47, BURLINGTON 34: The Chiefs' big three of Payton Courier, Reagan Courier and Courtney Schoenbeck scored 38 of Big Foot's 47 points as the host Chiefs came up with a non-conference win Monday.

Schoenbeck finished with 14 points, Regan Courier added 13 and Payton Courier finished with 11 for Big Foot, who had a slim 21-19 advantage at halftime before playing a strong second half.

Burlington's Jessa Burling finished the game with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 13 steals.

• BOYS BASKETBALL: PARKVIEW 67, JUDA 65: The Vikings picked up a home victory Monday as Justin Balch scored 13 of his 19 points in the second half. The game was tied at 32 at the break before Parkview finished things out to improve to 3-1 on the season.

Eli Hoscheit scored 13 points while Aydon Campbell added 12 and Riley Carroll and Nathan Mohr each had 10.

Juda senior Keagan Haffele led all scorers with 28 points.
