Beatrice A. Bourdeaux, 96, of Beloit, WI, went to be with the Lord on Friday, November 15, 2019 at Riverside Terrace.
She was born May 6, 1923 in Rochester, MN, the daughter of Elmer and Alice (Blanchard) Witt. Bea was a 1942 graduate of Edison High School, Minneapolis, MN. After high school, she furthered her education earning a secretarial certificate. She was united in marriage to Douglas A. Bourdeaux on October 26, 1946 in Minneapolis, MN. They were blessed with three daughters and 34 years of marriage before Doug passed on June 21, 1981.
Bea performed various jobs in the Beloit area. She worked in the School Age Program at Converse School, at the Beloit Police Department in the purchasing area and as a Beloit Senior Companion. Bea was a committed Christian and dedicated member of the People's Church in Beloit, WI. She ministered with her musical gifts by playing the piano and singing. Bea loved working with children. She taught Sunday School for many years and led Good News Clubs. Bea loved her family and loved spending time together. She cared for her pets and for backyard wildlife by feeding birds and squirrels. Bea also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her three daughters, Sharis Bailey, Linnea (Dennis) Fischer, and Denise Bourdeaux; grandchildren, John (Erika), Matthew (Jessica), Sarah (Dennis), Allison (Fiancé Patrick), and Steven; great grandchildren, Elijah, Selah, Isabelah, Emma, Nathan, Alexander, and Audrey; five step-grandchildren and 13 great step-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, two sisters, Clara Stroth and Ruth Pierce-Colman.
Funeral service for Beatrice will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22, 2019 in People's Church, 340 W. Grand Ave, Beloit, WI, with Pastor Phil Rice officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit, IL. Visitation of remembrance will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI. Visitation will also be from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Friday in the church.
