Maria Giuliana (Julie) Kulawinski, 96, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and formerly of South Beloit, IL, passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2019 in Florida Medical Center.
She was born November 17, 1922 in Barga, Italy, the daughter of Ezio and Margherita (Nardini) Pancioli. Maria married Edwin Kulawinski on November 26, 1945 in Barga, Italy. He predeceased her on January 8, 2013.
Julie started her working career teaching school in Italy. She then was employed by St. Peter Catholic School as the secretary from 1969-1991 and then was the secretary bookkeeper from 1991 until retiring in 2005. Julie was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
Survivors include her daughter, Shirley (Luis F. Pancho) Urena of Weston, FL; son, Jeffery (Sherri) Kulawinski of Rockton, IL; grandchildren, Christina Urena, Annette (Mark) Tucker and Carolyn (Ron) Marlowe; great grandchildren, Jason, Dylan, and Colette; brother, Paul Pancioli of Sao Paulo, Brazil; sisters, Josephine Bertini and Roberta Nardini both of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
She was predeceased by her parents and brother, Peter Pancioli.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with the Rosary recited at 4:45 p.m. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 in the St. Peter Catholic Church, 620 Blackhawk Blvd, South Beloit, IL, with Fr. Steve Sabo officiating. Burial will be in Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens, South Beloit, IL.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Disables Veterans and/or your local Hospice in her name.
