David B. Cook, 71, of Roscoe, IL, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2019, in his home.
He was born on August 24, 1947, in Beloit, WI, the son of Lawrence and Margaret (Terwilliger) Cook. Dave attended Beloit Memorial High School. He married MaryLou (Riley) on January, 16, 1987, in Las Vegas, NV.
Dave was formerly employed by Beloit Corporation. He then purchased and operated Superior Brass & Aluminum Foundry in South Beloit, IL, and later started Dave's Painting. Dave was a member and trustee of the Beloit Moose Lodge #191. He enjoyed day trips, fishing, shuffleboard at the Moose, dartball at the church, weekly Bible study with the guys, and going for a drive with Lou to see where they'd end up! He was a lifelong Packer fan. Dave had the ability to do many things, and was always willing to put those talents to work for anyone who was in need of a helping hand.
Survivors include his wife, MaryLou Cook of Roscoe, IL; children, Tom (Shannon) Cook of Janesville, WI, Ann Stewart of MN, Jennifer Cook, Kathy Stevens both of Beloit, WI, Carol (Mike) Duffy of Roscoe, IL, Karen (Darrell) Yates of Grafton, WI, and Randy (Cindy) Krueger of Draper, UT; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers, Cork, Larry and Bill Cook; sisters, Bonnie and Betty; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents; son, David; five brothers and one sister.
Visitation of remembrance will be from 5-7 pm on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with a Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #191 Ceremony preceding at 4:45 pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, April 19, 2019 at Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, with Jackie Vance and Mike Duffy officiating. Burial will be in Willowbrook Cemetery.
