Lisa Ann Carey, 54, of Machesney Park, Illinois, formerly of Beloit, Wisconsin, unexpectedly passed away at her home on Sunday, April 7, 2019.
Lisa was born on January 4, 1965 in Beloit, Wisconsin, the daughter of William Frederick and Patsy Ann (Gilbert) McDonald. She graduated from Beloit Memorial High School in 1983 and was currently taking classes to become a Pharmaceutical Technician. Lisa married Kelly Ray Carey on June 24, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lisa was employed as a machinist for most of her life. She worked at Gleason-Pfauter Cutting Tools, Zenith Cutter, and Woodward Incorporated all in Loves Park, Illinois. She was a former member of VFW Post 9759 Ladies Auxiliary in Loves Park. Lisa enjoyed travelling and fishing anywhere she and Kelly go including Wisconsin, Ohio, and Florida. She was a loyal fan of the Green Bay Packers. One of Lisa's most treasured things in this world was her golden retriever, Berkeley.
Lisa is survived by her husband, Kelly of Machesney Park, Illinois; brothers, Steve (Donna) McDonald of Beloit, William "Bill" (Sharon) McDonald of Cadiz, Kentucky, and Kevin (Amanda) McDonald of Beloit; sisters, Mary (Tim) Bestor of Beloit, and Rhonda (Ryan) Wagner of Madison, Wisconsin; uncle, Richard "Dick" McDonald of South Beloit, Illinois; nephew, Aidan; nieces, Mallory, Ellie, Kimmy, and Kayla; special friend, Donna Davis of Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin; and her loyal companion, Berkeley. She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister, Linda McDonald; aunts, Elizabeth, and Margaret; and uncle, John.
