Susan Kay (Jero, Keehn) Wynn, 65 of Cullman, AL formerly of Beloit, WI passed away on August 21, 2018 after a long courageous battle of health issues.
She was born March 27th, 1953 to Leon and Betty Jero. She was one of 4 sisters, with a large extended family who remained close throughout her childhood and into adulthood. On November 12th, 1970 she married Terry Keehn Sr and together they shared 4 children, Terry (Casey) Keehn II of AK, Susanne Keehn of Beloit WI, Hilarie Hertz of Black River Falls, WI and Jennifer (Bobby) Franklin of Cullman AL. After 17 years of marriage they were divorced. Later, on March 23rd, 1999 she married Michael Wynn of Rockford, IL and became a stepmom to Melissa (Robert) Johnson, Jason Wynn both of Rockford IL and Jeremy (Lori) Wynn of Peoria, IL.
She returned to school at Blackhawk Technical College in 1990 to complete her HSED and then continue to pursue her dream in culinary arts and become a chef, as she loved to cook and see the smiles of family friends and other people who all enjoyed her delicious entrees. She enjoyed more than anything cooking, and time spent with her family outdoors and if the 2 were combined at a park or campground she was more than happy to throw a pole in the water and soak up some sun. Weather permitting, she would spend whatever time she could enjoying the simple things in life like gardening, fishing, wading in the water, gazing at the stars, the sound of birds and had a love for music especially Conway Twitty.
She was baptized as a Jehovah's witness as an early adult but was disfellowshipped during her divorce. Although she always kept god in her heart, it was many years and later in her life, after she fell ill, that she found a church that she felt comfortable with. At this point she was baptized as a Christian at The River of Life United Methodist Church. She chose to spend the last years living with each of her children. In hopes to be able to get to know them and each of her grandchildren on a more deep, spiritual and emotional level.
She is survived by her estranged husband Michael Wynn, her children as mentioned above, grandchildren including Kyle, Sierra, Brianna, Tyler, Taylor, Zachary, Hailee, Allisen and 12 Step grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren including, Mya, Jessa, Avaya, Za'Riah, Za'Niah and 11 step great grandchildren, two sisters Esther Spangler and Sandra Draeving, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, many friends and her newest puppy Chase.
She was predeceased by her parents Leon and Betty Jero, sister Kathy Pegelow, grandson Terry Keehn III, and granddaughter Naysia Franklin, Nephew Johnny Voegeil, former mother in law Hilda Rockwell and father in law Ed Wynn.
Her family would like to invite you to join them to celebrate her life on September 29th, 2018 from 1-4pm at Big Hill Park (lower pavilion) in Beloit Wi.
