Daniel L. Perry, 87, of South Beloit, IL, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018 at Alexian Brothers Hospice Residence in Elk Grove Village, IL.
Daniel was born on Jan. 1, 1930 in Jackson, TN, the son of Jake and Fannie (Bufford) Perry. Daniel served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1955. He was a house painter and general carpenter in Milwaukee, WI and Beloit, WI. He loved working on cars and taking long walks.
Daniel is survived by his four daughters, Lorraine Perry, Annette Perry and Dannisha Perry, all of Milwaukee, and Vannette Perry of Atlanta, GA; three sons, Michael Braxton of Beloit, Gregory (Cheryl) Johnson of Chicago, and Randy Martin of Milwaukee; a sister, Frannie Pickett of Las Vegas, NV; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives; and a special friend Anita (Rose) Perteete, South Beloit. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers, Jerry, Henry, Curtis, Ozie, and Willie Perry, and three sisters, Dorothy Perry, Fannie Pickett, and Mary Motton.
Visitation is Friday, Aug. 10, from 5 - 7 pm at Foster Funeral Home, 1650 Huebbe Parkway, Beloit, WI 53511. Funeral services at 11 a.m., with a visitation one hour prior, on Saturday, Aug. 11, at the funeral home.
