Fanny Anjanos, 95, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully on December 1, 2017 at Crimson Pointe Assisted Living, Rockford, IL.
She was born November 3, 1922 in Madison, WI, to Spyros and Vasiliki Soldatos. Fanny married Philip Anjanos on August 28, 1949 in Madison, WI. He predeceased her on December 22, 2002.
Fanny and Phil owned the Amber Lamp Liquor Store in Rockton, IL. She was a lifelong member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church and the Ladies Philoptochos. Fanny was a warm, sweet lady and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Survivors include her children, Debra (Rick) McClellan, Vasiliki (Jerry) Spier, and Philip Anjanos; grandchildren, Cassie, Audrey, Daniel, Mitchell, Matthew, and Christopher; great grandchildren, Louis and Russell; and sister, Mary Scocos.
She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Kea Peterson.
The family would like to give a special thank you to all the caregivers at Crimson Pointe, the loving staff of Heartland Hospice, and especially her good friends Pauline and Mary.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, with Fr. Peter Sarolas officiating. Burial will be in East Lawn Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in her name to Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.
