JANESVILLE—The Janesville American Association of University Women (AAUW) will host Tracy Radel, P.E., Vice President of Engineering at SHINE Technologies during its Sept. 28 meeting set for 6:30 p.m. at the Janesville Woman’s Club, 108 S. Jackson St.

The program will focus on SHINE’s innovative production method, how the company approaches engineering challenges, and why diversity in thinking and backgrounds, is so important in engineering.
SHINE produces the radioisotope Molybdenum-99 (Mo-99), which decays into technetium-99m, and is used in more than 40 million medical diagnostic procedures annually.
