ROCKFORD—A Rockford woman is being accused of being involved in the drug overdose death of another Rockford woman.
Suzette A. Vazquez, 33, has been charged with two counts of drug induced homicide and two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, according to a news release from the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office.
On Oct. 5, Rockford police were called to a residence where they found Elizabeth Bermudez Cruz, who was unresponsive and could not be resuscitated. An autopsy indicated she died due to her reaction to fentanyl and cocaine.
Vazquez is being held at the Winnebago County Jail in Rockford on $300,000 bond.
