BELOIT—A Chicago man suffered three gunshot wounds Sunday and Beloit police are investigating the incident.
No suspects have been identified following the non-fatal shooting Sunday night.
Travon D. Jones-Holmes, 25, of Chicago was identified as the victim of the shooting. Jones-Holmes suffered non-life threatening injuries from multiple gunshot wounds and was treated at a local hospital, police said.
Police responded to the shooting, which was reported in the 700 block of Hackett Street, at 7:07 p.m. on Sunday.
On Monday afternoon, the department announced that a witness of the shooting described seeing “a white sedan (that possibly had tinted windows) leave the area at a high rate of speed around the time gunshots were heard.”
