BELOIT—A Beloit man has been arrested following a robbery on Saturday at Walgreens on Broad Street in Beloit, according to the Beloit Police Department.
Officers responded at around 7:03 p.m. to a report of a robbery at the store at 910 Broad St., and quickly identified a suspect in the area.
Jacob J. Evans, 27, was taken into custody and officers recovered cash in a bag from the pharmacy. Police said Evans “admitted to the arresting officer that he had robbed the pharmacy.”
He was arrested on possible charges of robbery with the threat of force, resist/obstruct, and four counts of bail jumping. He also was booked for two counts of trespassing and four counts of bail jumping for an attempted break-in in the 600 block of Prospect Street on Sept. 13.
