JANESVILLE—Chicken sandwich chain Chick-fil-A has opened a new location at 2627 Humes Road on Janesville’s east side.

Former Milwaukee teacher and school principal David Bramlett is the owner/operator of the Chick-fil-A franchise in Janesville, the restaurant chain announced. The restaurant in Janesville opened on Wednesday.

Bramlett will lead a staff of about 130. The restaurant will be open from 6:30 a.m.—10 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The restaurant will offer dine-in, carryout and drive-through service, plus “contactless” ordering through the Chick-fil-A app and website.

Chick-fil-A offers chicken sandwiches for breakfast and lunch, chicken nuggets and strips, salads, soft drinks and some sides and dessert items.

Chick-fil-A typically hosts “First 100” events before a new store opening, offering free Chick-fil-A items for a year as a prize for the first 100 customers. However, the Janesville store did not hold the “First 100” event, but instead decided to honor “100 local heroes” with surprise rewards from the restaurant.

That event included a $25,000 donation pledged by the company to help local food pantries.
