Man arrested after police look into gunfire report

JANESVILLE - A Janesville man was arrested for probation violation while police investigated a report of gunfire Sunday evening.

Jason Sun, 31, was taken into custody after police received reports of gunfire around 11 p.m. near the intersection of Cherry Street and Rockport Road. Janesville police determined the shots may have come from a residence in the 600 block of Rockport Road. A handgun was recovered from the residence, according to a news release from the Janesville Police Department.
