Three Beloiters injured in early morning fire

BELOIT - Three Beloit residents were injured in a residential fire early this morning in the 900 block of Oak Street, according to the Beloit Fire Department.

One resident was transported by the Janesville Fire Department ambulance to Beloit Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in the fire, which was reported at about 3:30 a.m.

A total of seven people were displaced by the blaze at the two-unit home, and the American Red Cross of Wisconsin is assisting those impacted by the fire.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation and a damage estimate was not available as of press time.

The Janesville Fire Department, South Beloit Fire Department and Town of Beloit Fire Department assisted the Beloit Fire Department in the call.
