Swing-N-Slide company to lay off 23 employees

JANESVILLE - Swing-N-Slide, a division of Backyard Products LLC in Janesville has indicated it will lay off 23 employees starting Aug. 1.

The company at 1212 Barberry Drive, informed the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development of the layoffs recently. The company, a manufacturer of playground equipment, intends to close its Janesville location.

DWD and regional partner Southwest Wisconsin Workforce Development Board will offer rapid response services to the company and the affected workers.

Affected workers will be offered pre-layoff workshops on topics such as resume writing, job search strategies and interview skills. They also can get information about resources available to them and upcoming career fairs.
