ROCKFORD - Slow-no-wake restrictions on the Rock River in Winnebago County have been lifted.

River levels have reduced and watercraft now are allowed on the river, according to a news release from the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department.

The sheriff's department, Com-Ed and the Rock River Homeowners Association will continue to monitor river levels and keep the community informed.

Boaters and recreational watercraft on the Rock River should exercise caution at all times and operate watercraft in a safe manner.
