BELOIT - ABC Supply Company is expanding in the new year, with the company set to build a new central office space in Beloit.

Demolition and foundation excavation work on a 132,000 square-foot, 4-story office building will start in the first quarter of next year. Construction will continue during the year, with an expected opening in early 2020, according to ABC Supply Real Estate Director Mark Singer.

Singer unveiled the $30.5 million project at Wednesday's Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation (GBEDC) annual investors meeting. Singer told all GBEDC representatives the project was needed due to the company's "continued expansion and growth."

"The functions that are going to be housed in the building will be primarily administrative, accounting, finance and credit entities," Singer said.

Initially, 270 to 300 employees will be relocated to the new building, with the future capacity to house 600 ABC employees.

The company will relocate staff from across the country to the future Beloit space, with around 150 to 200 new jobs to be created from the new development, according to Singer.

"All buildings around the office building will remain, and this will be our campus," Singer said.

Corporate Contractors Inc. (CCI) will handle construction, with R.H. Batterman managing engineering and Angus Young and Associates as the architecture firm on the project.

The new facility will be located near White Avenue and Prince Hall Drive.
