JANESVILLE - Newly-appointed Rock County Circuit Court Judge Derrick Grubb was invested to the bench following a ceremony Friday at the Rock County Courthouse.
Grubb was appointed in June by Republican Governor Scott Walker, and the Beloit attorney previously practiced in Rock County for 27 years focusing on personal injury, civil litigation and family law.
As previously reported by the Beloit Daily News, Grubb was also named by the state supreme court to the Office of Lawyer Regulation District 12 Committee where he served for nine years investigating grievances filed against attorneys. He has also served as guardian ad litem for Rock County by the county board for four years.
Grubb earned his juris doctorate from Marquette University Law School and undergraduate degree from Western Illinois University. He lives in Beloit with wife Debbie and they have four children together.
