SOUTH BELOIT - A moonlight bowling event held Friday at Viking Lanes to raise money for the Shop With A Badge program raised $1,210, according to South Beloit Fire Chief Mike Davenport.

Twenty-five bowling teams participated in the event, which raised money so South Beloit police officers and firefighters can take children in need on a holiday shopping excursion. Police Chief Adam Truman said he hopes to help 25 children this year. The Shop With A Badge shopping event is scheduled for Dec. 14 at Blain's Farm & Fleet in Roscoe.
