BELOIT - Andrew Alan Ashley, 29, was arrested for OWI second offense, tampering with an ignition interlock device, failure to yield to the right of way, knowingly operating while revoked and operating a motor vehicle without insurance, at 7:12 p.m. Thursday at Prairie Avenue and East Inman Parkway, according to Beloit Police Sgt. Jon Ammeson.

Ashley was operating a vehicle traveling northbound on Prairie Avenue and failed to yield to right of way while making a left turn at the intersection of Prairie and Inman and struck another vehicle. There were no injuries stemming from the accident.

Police discovered Ashley had a prior OWI conviction and his license was revoked due to noncompliance in 2015. Ashley admitted to drinking a few beers before driving and was arrested for OWI second offense. He was booked and released with citations.
