CLINTON - A Clinton man has been arrested after allegedly shooting an 18-year-old woman Sunday night in Clinton, according to Police Chief David Hooker.
Jesus S. Rangel, 18, allegedly shot the woman around 6:16 p.m. at an apartment in the 700 block of Milwaukee Street. The woman was treated for non-life threatening injuries from the gunshot, Hooker said.
Police were called to the Mercy Hospital Trauma Center in Janesville and began the investigation, later identifying Rangel as the shooting suspect, Hooker said.
The firearm allegedly used in the shooting was later recovered in the 300 block of Pleasant Street in a snowbank.
Rangel is being held at the Rock County Jail on the possible charge of recklessly endangering safety, according to Hooker.
