JANESVILLE - Sexual assault charges against a Clinton teenager have been dismissed, according to Rock County Circuit Court records.
On Monday, Judge Barbara McCrory dismissed charges filed against Carson Loback, 17, after Rock County Assistant District Attorney Scott Dirks requested a motion to dismiss the case.
Initially, Loback was alleged to have assaulted the 15-year-old girl at a park in Clinton on Aug. 22 after allegedly taking a knife the victim brought with her.
He was originally charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child under the age of 16 by use or threat of force or violence and second-degree sexual assault.
Dirks could not be reached for comment Tuesday regarding the case.
