Cooking demonstration planned at Merrill Center

BELOIT - A one-hour presentation and cooking demonstration will be held from 6-7 p.m. Monday at the Merrill Community Center, 1428 Wisconsin Ave.

This presentation will give attendees tips on shopping, a cooking demonstration, recipe cards, fresh produce to take home and recreate the recipes shared, light refreshments and the chance to win a gift card to Piggly Wiggly.

The event is a collaboration between the Beloit Area Community Health Center and the Merrill Community Center, UW-Extension Food WIse, UnitedHealthcare and the Porter Area Watch Group.

Registration is required. Those interested can call the Merrill Center at 608-313-1212 to reserve their spots.
