Town receives loan for public works building

MADISON - The Town of Beloit has received a $4,707,511 State Trust Fund Loan from the Board of Commissioners of Public Lands to be used for the construction of the town's new public works building.

The board approved loans totaling $5,255,761. Other loans were made to the Town of Calamus, the City of Fox Lake, the Village of Rochester and the Town of Wyoming.

The Board of Commissioners of Public Lands operates entirely on program revenue, without taxpayer money and distributes more than 96 cents of every dollar of interest earned on State Trust Fund investments to Wisconsin's public schools.
