Kolste to seek another term in Assembly

JANESVILLE - State Rep. Deb Kolste, D-Janesville, will seek another term as the representative for 44th Assembly District.

Kolste announced her decision to seek her fourth two-year tearm in the Assembly on Monday. She serves as ranking minority member on the Health Committee and the Science and Technology Committee. She is also a member of the Small Business Development Committee, the Transportation Committee and the Public Benefits Reform Committee.

Kolste is running because she enjoys the work, wants to serve, and believes she has been effective as a voice for Janesville in Madison, she said.

Kolste, 64, is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology.

She has three adult children, Drew, Ali and Tori, all of whom graduated from Janesville schools.
