Rockton crash victim identified

ROCKTON - Georgette Starns, 58, of South Beloit, has been identified as the woman who died in a single vehicle crash on South Bluff Street in rural Rockton Tuesday.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office, South Beloit Police Department and Rockton Fire Department were called to the crash scene at about 5:18 p.m. Investigations indicate Starns, who was the only person in the vehicle, was southbound on South Bluff Street when her vehicle left the roadway near Prairie Hill Road and hit a tree. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office and Winnebago County Coroner's Office are investigating the crash.
