BELOIT - Children and their families are invited to spend some time with Father Christmas himself at Beloit Area Community Health Center's (BACHC) annual event.

The third Cookies with Santa event will allow families to get a free professional picture with Santa Claus from 3:30 - 6 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Beloit Area Health Clinic, 74 Eclipse Center. In addition to a photo with Jolly Old St. Nick, children will get to have milk and cookies, have the photo printed in a commemorative holiday frame, create crafts with Youth 2 Youth 4 Change and receive a gift.

"It's our hope that no child feels left out during the holidays due to financial circumstances. We understand that families may be experiencing financial pressures, so we offer this event as a gift to the children of our community," said organizer Ana Montoya, BACHC outreach and enrollment coordinator. "Our staff truly put their hearts into this event and transform the clinic into a magical Winter Wonderland."

Lynn Vollbrecht, business development and marketing manager, said the number of participants doubled last year.

They're anticipating approximately 200 children to get a free photo with Santa during the event, taken by Lucas Denson, of Eye for An Eye Photography.
