Welty Center July programs are all about insects

BELOIT - The Welty Environmental Center, 1201 Big Hill Court, Beloit, has two insect programs in the beginning of July, suitable for all ages. The cost to attend is $5 per participant.

• Welty Kids: Fireflies - 3-4:30 p.m. on July 2. children will learn more about these amazing insects and try to catch a few.

• Bug Hunt! - 3-4:30 p.m. on July 9. Participants will use nets, cloths, shovels and trowels to search for and then identify insects.
