American Legion Post 440 to celebrate anniversary

CLINTON - American Legion Post 440, 508 Front St., Clinton, will celebrate their 100th anniversary with an open house from 1-5 p.m. on March 23.

The public is invited to come and look at historic military items from the War of 1812 through to the Afghanistan War. There will be a presentation of the folding of the American flag with an explanation of the 13 folds. Also, five military quilts from each service branch will be presented to five post members that have given their service to their country and local communities.
