RRVBC blood drives set in Beloit

The Rock River Valley Blood Center (RRVBC) will hold two blood drives this week in Beloit.

• The Beloit Rotary River Center, 1160 Riverside Drive, will hold a community blood drive from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 7. For more information or to schedule a time-saving appointment to donate, call RRVBC at 1-877-778-2299, or visit online at www.rrvbc.org to self-schedule an appointment. Appointments will be honored.

• The Beloit College-CCOC will hold a blood drive in Pearsons Hall, 700 College St., from noon-6 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8. For more information or to schedule a time-saving appointment to donate, email the CCOC at ccoc@beloit.edu or visit online at www.rrvbc.org to self-schedule.

Those who are at least 17 years old (16 years with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in general good health should be able to donate blood.

The RRVBC serves as a centralized, community blood center and is the sole supplier of blood and related services to Beloit Health System and other area medical facilities.
