Blood drive to be held at Beloit Rotary River Center

BELOIT - The Rock River Valley Blood Center will hold a blood drive from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at The Beloit Rotary River Center, 1160 Riverside Drive.

For more information or to schedule a time-saving appointment to donate, call toll-free at 1-877-778-2299, or visit online at www.rrvbc.org to self-schedule an appointment. Appointments will be honored.

Those who are at least 17 years old (16 years with parental consent), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in general good health should be able to donate blood. One in three people will need blood in their lifetime.

The RRVBC serves as a centralized, community blood center and is the sole supplier of blood and related services to Beloit Health System and other area medical facilities.
