'Don't forget the homeless'

Print Article

We urge Beloiters not to forget the homeless people in our community during this holiday time.

The weather has been cold and wet. You've probably noticed people in the community who don't seem to have a place to go. Imagine yourself in that situation. The Sparrow's Nest homeless shelter provides a warm place for them to sleep and eat wholesome meals.

Please support The Sparrow's Nest with your charitable donations and volunteer time. Since 1996, Ron and Julie O'Leary have unselfishly donated their time and home to provide food and shelter to single men, and women, and families, including many veterans. The Sparrow's Nest has an accepting but structured environment. Julie and Ron receive no salary. All donations go directly to homeless services.

Please call The Sparrow's Nest at 608-362-8215 to inquire as to their specific needs or to volunteer. Tax deductible donations may be mailed to 1816 Harrison Av., Beloit, WI 53511.

All donations are gratefully appreciated.
