'Donations support brave men, women'

Thanks to the generous donations of the Beloit community during our Poppy Days, May 17 and 18, 2019, the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 48 raised $1,882.55.

As in the past, the Auxiliary uses these donations only in direct support of our community's veterans, active duty military and their families, where financial or medical need is evident. The money is sent to the businesses in payment of the debt, and is a one-time gift to those we have helped. As our payment is not a loan, we do not request or expect repayment of these funds.

We appreciate the community's donations and support for these brave men and women and their families. Our activities would not be possible without you. Many thanks.
