'Choose Weiss for school board'

Print Article

Beloit is fortunate to have some outstanding individuals running for school board, and Sarah Weiss is among the best.

When I found out that Sarah made the decision to seek a leadership role in Beloit's public education system, it was the most hopeful news I had heard in a long while. As a Beloit Memorial alumna with an education background, teacher certification and hands-on experience working with first-generation, low-income students, Sarah is a well-equipped, level-headed, dedicated individual that will bring a breath of fresh air to the School Board. And, she will go the distance for the good of our kids. This I know.

Sarah worked as a summer counselor for the Upward Bound program that I led at Beloit College. Her ability to genuinely listen to students, build trust, patiently assist them with academics and treat them with the utmost respect stood out as she did this in a humble and professional way. I observed her teach and advise students, organize college visits, and problem-solve day-to-day concerns. Sarah always seeks out information, asks questions, and looks for inclusive solutions to meet the needs and goals of our kids.

Sarah keeps a cool head, is a team natural, thinks before she speaks and challenges the status quo so justice prevails. We need Sarah Weiss to advance the School District of Beloit with integrity, knowledge and love.

Please take a moment to learn about Sarah Weiss and all that she offers on Facebook, "Sarah Weiss for Beloit School Board" and read her story. Then, take action.

Vote February 20th and April 3 to elect this outstanding Beloiter for our community and the future of our children.
