Beloit Turner School District joined with educational institutions and hospitals across the Great Lakes Region states to participate in the sixth annual Great Lakes Great Apple Crunch. Children across the Turner School District were celebrating National Farm to School Month and local farmers by crunching into a locally grown apples donated by Apple Hut during morning announcements at school on Thursday.

This collective crunch was to encourage healthy eating and support farm to school and local food initiatives throughout the Great Lakes Region.
