JP Cullen engineer and Rock County Courthouse construction superintendent Nich Kerchner explains how the new lobby of the courthouse will upgrade security at the county's busiest building. Work will continue through this summer and add security upgrades to various offices in the courthouse. The county board approved $5.2 million for the final two phases of boosting security at the county's busiest government building in 2019 after $1.7 million was spent previously to upgrade technology including adding additional cameras and improved door locks. A new security screening area will be placed at the main entrance to screen all entering the courthouse.
