ORFORDVILLE—Parkview Elementary School (PES) held their spelling bee on Jan. 28 with 20 students in grades 3 - 6 taking part. Ellen Owens, a retired PES teacher, was the pronouncer, a position which she has held for many years.

The contest got down to three students, 4th grader, Braedyn Girard, and 6th graders, Robert Ellis and Sheri Montgomery. After a few rounds, Montgomery coming out as the leader.

Montgomery represented Parkview at the regional competition at Stoughton High School on Feb. 5 along with 41 other contestants. She made it to the final round and placed in the top six spellers in the region.
