Lewis Tyree Porter, 17, 1255 Harrison, was arrested at 11:28 p.m. Thursday in the 1300 block of Wisconsin Avenue on charges of possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, obstructing and bail jumping.

Two youths, one age 14, were referred to juvenile authorities at 5:04 p.m. Thursday on charges of receiving stolen property; a $125 Huffy Twister bicycle was recovered.


Theft by fraud reported at 3:13 p.m. Thursday in the 1100 block of Bushnell Street; a $3,000 downpayment was paid for remodeling work not completed.

Criminal damage reported at 5:15 p.m. Thursday in the city parking lot, 600 block of Fourth Street; a Ford Clu

Wagon sustained dented grill and hood, scratched window, with the driver's mirror ripped off and the hood jimmied open, no damage estimate given.

Theft reported at 3:45 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of Fourth Street; a $300 Huffy trick bicycle was taken from the back of a residence.

Criminal damage reported at 4:12 p.m. Thursday in the 1500 block of Porter Avenue; a windshield was allegedly shot out of a 1985 Ford Mustang, no damage estimate given.

Theft reported at 7:03 a.m. Thursday at Telfer Park, 2301 Skyline Drive; $135 in baseball memorabilia was taken.

Theft reported at 10:35 a.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of Royce Avenue; $900 in stereo equipment was taken from a vehicle.

Theft reported at 11:32 a.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of White Avenue; two bicycles valued at $330 were taken.


Criminal damage reported at 4:19 p.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Miller Street; a rock was thrown through a van window while the driver was parked at a curb, causing $80 damage.

Burglary reported at 2:43 p.m. Wednesday in the 13800 block of Chevron Drive; $1,000 in stereo and optical equipment were taken after entry was gained through an open sun roof.

In the CourtsROCK COUNTY _

Jeremy J. Haigh, 22, Clinton, was charged with possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia and two counts of violating bail terms. Haigh was allegedly stopped by a sheriff's deputy in Turtle township for speeding on a motorcycle July 15. The deputy reportedly found marijuana, a finger scale, a pager and $1,276 on Haigh's person.

Darrell E. Boyd, 30, Janesville, was charged with failing to return to the Rock County Jail June 12.

Gregory S. Daniels, 30, Janesville, was charged with fleeing an officer June 2 in Janesville, possessing marijuana and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Joshua R. Van Haften, 17, Janesville, reportedly pointed a gun at a man dating Van Haften's exgirlfriend, and then hit the man in the ear with it in Janesville June 30. Van Haften was charged with substantial battery while armed with a gun, disfiguring the man and pointing a firearm at a person.
