NorthPointe surgery center hearing postponed

Beloit Health System has decided to postpone a hearing before the Illinois Health Facilities Review Board for its proposed ambulatory surgery center at the NorthPointe Health and Wellness Campus in Roscoe.

The surgery center proposal was scheduled to be presented to the review board on Oct. 7 in Bolingbrook, Ill., however Jason Dotson, Beloit Health System vice president - clinical division, said officials decided to postpone the presentation as some key supporters would not be able to attend the hearing.

Dotson also said area communities are planning to adopt resolutions in support of the surgery center plan.
