BRODHEAD, Wis. — The Brodhead girls basketball team continued its season-long dominance, jumping out to a 38-13 halftime lead and never looking back to defeat Beloit Turner, 79-35, in Rock Valley Conference South Division action.

The Cardinals, now 4-0 on the season received a balance scoring effort. Seven players had at least seven points for Brodhead. They were led in scoring by Taylor Douglas, who put in 13 points. Carly Mohns added 10. Brodhead made seven three-pointers on the night.

Turner’s Lindsey Lauterbach had another strong effort, leading the way with 11 points.

• PARKVIEW 35, PALMYRA-EAGLE 32: The host Vikings picked up their second conference win behind a staunch defensive effort and 16 points from Emily Harnack.

Parkview was trailing 18-14 at halftime, but allowed just 14 points in the second half to come back for the win. Harnack hit three three-pointers, and put the Vikings ahead for good with a three-pointer with 1:30 to play. Remarkably, Palmyra-Eagle failed to get to the free throw line in the game.

The Panthers were led by Caitlyn Rautsaw, who scored 13 points.

• MONONA GROVE 84, BELOIT MEMORIAL 45: The Purple Knights remained winless on the season as Monona Grove, one of the top teams in the state in Division 2, defeated them at Barkin Arena. No details were reported.
