WEST BEND, Wis. - Beloit Memorial's boys were outshot by a large margin, but took a 3-3 tie into the third period before the West Bend Ice Bears pulled out a 4-3 non-conference victory.

Ethan Couglin scored the game-winner for the hosts at the Kettle Moraine Ice Arena at the 2:13 mark.

Coughlin had also put his team on top 1-0 in the first period at the 3:50 mark. Casper Clark tied it for the Knights 15 seconds later on an assist by Sean McMillan.

Clark gave the Knights the lead at 7:04 with McMillan collecting another assist.

West Bend tied it 2-2 with a power-play goal by Eli Kopish at 9:25.

The Ice Bears went on top with a power-play goal by Cam Sullivan, but Beloit tied it at 8:13 on a goal by Hunter Harrington off assists by Brayden Cooper nd Kyle Hanaman.

That left it up to Coughlin to put in the game-winner.

"Too many times we failed to make the simple play," Beloit head coach Kurt Buchs said. "We spent too much time in our own end."

Beloit goalie Taven Santucci finished with 39 saves. Chris Clement had 15 for the Ice Bears.

The Knights (8-15-0) will host Janesville for their regular-season finale at the Edwards Ice Arena at 7 p.m. Saturday.

It will be Vets Roll and Senior Night.
