BMHS, Fury plan special events at rink

JANESVILLE - The Rock County Fury and Beloit Memorial Purple Knights hockey teams will both host upcoming special events..

The Fury girls co-op team will hold its events at Janesville Ice Arena. The first is its Pink The Rink event on Jan. 16. The Fury will wear pink jerseys when they host Arrowhead that night with the jayvee game at 5:30 p.m. and the varsity game at 7 p.m.

Raffle prizes, chuck-a-puck, pink ribbons and cookies will be on sale to help support the Beloit Cancer Center.

The Fury will host a Girls Day at the JIA on Jan. 21 from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. It will be an open skate with the high school team to promote girls hockey. Girls interested in participating should come dressed for hockey. Equipment will be available at the rink.

Beloit Memorial's boys will host their Pink The Rink at Edwards Ice Arena Jan. 25. They will wear pink jerseys as they entertain Monroe.

The Knights will wear special patriotic jerseys on Feb. 10 for Vets Roll Night. They host Janesville that night.
